Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 5e091d254c profile: in-process SIGPROF sampler + exclusive route/phase census (L77); closes to 0.1%
Opt-in (L77 build + --linux77-profile; compiled out by default, 0.02% handler cost).
FI/TN cost account closes against direct grid-fill timing within 0.15% (LOD0-2 bins within 1.4%).
Passage carving = 66% of LOD0-2 CPU (52-54% whole view), passage support 10-14%, base packed
+ analytic field ~3%. Hotspots: value noise 17%, lower_bound in VisitNearestPassageSpatialNode
14%, ApplyResolvedStratePassageCarves 6.5%. LOD0/1 complete LAST (4.1/4.6 s) while LOD2 is
ready at 2.2 s.

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 90378a585f profile: per-term legacy FI/TN sample profiler (L76); passage/support is ~75% of field time
Opt-in at build time (VOXELFORGE_PROFILE_LEGACY_TERMS=1; compiled out by default, ~2% when on).
Per legacy sample: passage/support composer ~1.05 us vs primitive scan ~0.19 us, boundary
band ~0.06 us, noise ~0.01 us. Resolved-passage constants are cached at field binding
(arithmetic order unchanged); whole-view effect within noise. Per-tile hashes identical to L75
in all 24 compiler x worker x view comparisons; fast tier PASS; Linux UE host builds.
R40 researcher notes attached.

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 135957831b fix: sanitizer sweep across all generators; bound signed shifts/division/overflow at coordinate limits (L61); R31
New verify.py sanitize tier (Clang address,undefined,float-cast-overflow; GCC address,undefined;
-fno-sanitize-recover) runs 19 cases per compiler at LOD0-8 across every generator, passages and the
crossing: 0 runtime reports; a planted signed-overflow control is caught by both. A static scan fixed
INT_MIN negation in floor division, unbounded signed LOD shifts and coordinate-times-extent overflow in
VoxelClipmapDesiredTiles.h and VoxelTypes.h (plugin and standalone), and VoxelWorld.cpp, VoxelContentManager.cpp
and VoxelDensityVolume.cpp (plugin only, uncompiled here). Supported-input output unchanged (version 211).
fast/medium/full PASS. Research R31 (self-checked): far-LOD 4-8 cut plan.

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 753cc9c259 tools(verify): fast/medium/full verification tiers with a compiled-in source stamp (L39); research R6
BuildLinux.sh hashes a sorted manifest of compiled inputs into VOXELFORGE_SOURCE_STAMP, printed first by
every executable; Standalone/Tools/verify/verify.py checks it before and after each tier and records
binary/input hashes and the resolved recipe, style map and layout. Fast (163 s) runs on the canonical owner
world only and asserts FI Style 2 / SW Style 1; medium (8 min) and full (26 min) add the style matrix,
GCC, determinism and cost. Controls: stale source, mislabelled style-0 owner, all-black capture, L30/L31,
L35/L36 and the L38 step are all rejected. No geometry change; owner hashes identical to L37.
Research R6: leak table, generator contract and a 10-step metre-native migration plan.

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 37a223046c wip(L26, side branch): every passage style walkable in both recipes (0/0/0); SW bridges look wrong
All 4 styles x both recipes pass capsule, open-air and naturalness audits, and full-view hashes are
deterministic. But the SW passage crosses 355 m of open SurfaceWorld sky as a ~2 km fragmented rock
ramp, which is not natural. L27 replaces long bridges with a shared ceiling-to-ground rock column.

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 9898e057fd wip(assembler): rounds L5+L6 -- Linux far-terrain captures and screen-space gate (world unchanged)
Linux offscreen capture (EGL/GLES pbuffer; llvmpipe in the sandbox) and an opt-in screen-space gate
for LOD>=3 (normal distance projected at each LOD's closest display distance, 1 px at 1440p =
0.61 mrad). The gate rejects the S13 octave-drop and stride-2 controls, fault injections, and a
vertical-vs-screen control. Finding: today's far meshes differ from the field by up to 92 px, and
LOD swaps snap mesa rims by tens of px (p50 0 px), a silhouette effect of plain LOD switching. The
octave cutoff was dropped: nothing qualified, and octaves are a small share of far time. Off-path
cost: reviewer interleaved W12 within noise vs L4 (+0.6% median). Hashes = L4.
Largest far lever measured: column work outside noise, 34% of far worker time (duplicate XY across tiles).

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 303b7b9f24 wip(assembler): round L2 -- the cross-platform hash check can fail; FP contraction changes the world
Clang -ffp-contract=on/fast and GCC's default (fast) all change the density hash on the L1 view;
contraction off reproduces L1 (= Windows S13) at W1/W12. Seed sweep: 48 FloatingIslands seeds and
14 effective SurfaceWorld seeds (34 of 48 fell on a seed-independent cube) match across Clang/GCC
and W1/W12. Standalone gains --seed/--recipe/--render-distance-chunks (viewer + headless) and a
Windows replay script. Linux standalone workers get 32 MiB pthread stacks (TLS is 17.3 MiB/thread),
so no external stack limit is needed. No Core or world-output change; MSVC compile unverified.

Fr0zkaandClaude Opus 5.5 1276fd11e3 wip(assembler): round L1 -- Linux baseline on abyss: Linux world identical to Windows
Headless Linux benchmark/hash tool (Clang 19 / GCC 14) sharing the viewer's plan builder and
streaming pipeline (moved verbatim into StreamBenchmarkPipeline.h / WorldAssemblyPrototype.h).
Owner Round17 view: density/mesh/payload/topology hashes equal the Windows S13 reference at
W1/W8/W12 (Clang, 3 runs each) and W8 (GCC), with -ffp-contract=off. No output change.
Baseline (i9-12900H, CPUs 0-11, powersave/balance_performance): whole view W8 3.562 s median,
W12 3.512 s, W1 16.555 s; peak RSS < 605 MiB.
Review: the default-stack crash is 17.3 MiB of static TLS per thread (glibc puts it in the
thread stack; HeightfieldColumnCache 6.8 MB), not recursion -- open, after S14.
MSVC compile of the viewer refactor not verified (no MSVC here).
