Opt-in (L77 build + --linux77-profile; compiled out by default, 0.02% handler cost).
FI/TN cost account closes against direct grid-fill timing within 0.15% (LOD0-2 bins within 1.4%).
Passage carving = 66% of LOD0-2 CPU (52-54% whole view), passage support 10-14%, base packed

14%, ApplyResolvedStratePassageCarves 6.5%. LOD0/1 complete LAST (4.1/4.6 s) while LOD2 is

L74's passage bound omitted the 0.21 m wall relief and 0.20 m floor relief, so its whole-tile
proof was unsound in principle (no tested view hit it). Passage support is now bounded per route
segment by four parameter-subinterval boxes using Catmull-Rom derivative extrema, local max
radius and relief padding. Stratum slicing only at LOD0-2 in FI/VS. Legacy sub-tile block
certificates are audit-only (runtime version was slower). TN regression (-80,-20,-3218) kept.
Exact full-grid vs skip hashes on every tile, 4 views, Clang/GCC, W1/W8/W12; control caught;
80-camera sweep 0 violations. Whole view vs c67b200: SW -1.3%, FI -7.6%, TN -2.3%, VS +0.2%.

The compiled-analytic stratum interval now certifies a legacy tile uniform only when it stays
beyond the detail envelope (and smooth-min slack for solid) with no intersecting primitive,
edit, native field, composer candidate, passage or active transition; everything else fails
closed. The stream layer uses the proof for whole-tile skips; legacy sub-tile skips stay off
(two block proofs failed the falsifier in TN).
Falsifier: full-grid reference vs skip-enabled run, identical mesh/payload/topology hashes on
every tile of all four owner views, Clang and GCC, W1/W8/W12; 20-camera sweep per strate,
0 violations; a too-tight control changed 3/184/233/238 tiles and was caught.
Whole view (8 workers): SW 2.61->2.48, FI 7.18->5.05, TN 5.97->4.63, VS 2.70->2.40 s.

Sampled cycle attribution of FI LOD0 field work: grid fill 83%, boundary 13%, skirts 4%; island roots,
columns and helix dominate, the column cache path is real but secondary (no thrashing). FI-only Z-inner
traversal at LOD0 (same lattice samples, exact) cuts FI whole view 5.35 -> 5.03 s and moving p50 by 12%;
global Z-inner and <=4-island culling were measured and rejected. The meshing band now includes the planned
passage support column's conservative bounds, closing a real gap where the arrival shaft meets the floor
(WorldAssemblyEvaluatorVersion 208 -> 209). fast/medium/full PASS, Clang and GCC.

Opt-in --instrument-tile-drain records per-tile queue/dispatch/finish timelines, stage spans and counters

FI 50.2 worker-s across LOD0-8, tails are work-saturated. FI sign-edge repair now computes in parallel and
publishes in sorted serial order (exact output): sign-edge 535 -> 47 ms, FI first tile 1.28 -> 0.85 s, near
ring 1.46 -> 1.04 s, whole view 6.09 -> 5.65 s. Proof block size, lane batching, SW midpoint memo and helper

The shared marching-cubes mesher applies its 8-cell block proofs at step 2 for standalone shape contexts

Region pages fell back to the legacy GetDensityAt evaluator while the base shape used the Core
manifest field, so a tile's density (and sometimes mesh) depended on streaming history. Pages
are now bound to their world's base FStandaloneShapeWorld evaluator before publication; density,
lattice, detail, classification and solid queries all delegate to it. WorldAssemblyEvaluatorVersion
5 -> 6. Route-parity audit: fails on L12 (5/5); after the fix 0 mismatches over 87 tile pairs
(base/page, base/native-only, edited, two histories), 56 exact-query pairs, 2.3M page samples,
4 seeds/recipes. Page-tile proof audit: 1,274 blocks, 0 violations. The spawn and island worlds

Step-2 (LOD1) tiles of native SurfaceWorld now prove 8-cell blocks uniform from exact heightfield

Linux offscreen capture (EGL/GLES pbuffer; llvmpipe in the sandbox) and an opt-in screen-space gate
for LOD>=3 (normal distance projected at each LOD's closest display distance, 1 px at 1440p =
0.61 mrad). The gate rejects the S13 octave-drop and stride-2 controls, fault injections, and a
vertical-vs-screen control. Finding: today's far meshes differ from the field by up to 92 px, and
LOD swaps snap mesa rims by tens of px (p50 0 px), a silhouette effect of plain LOD switching. The
octave cutoff was dropped: nothing qualified, and octaves are a small share of far time. Off-path
cost: reviewer interleaved W12 within noise vs L4 (+0.6% median). Hashes = L4.
Largest far lever measured: column work outside noise, 34% of far worker time (duplicate XY across tiles).

Owner saw content floating above native terrain, spiky triangles, reversed carve/fill and late relief.
Causes: shared mesher placed Core tiles on a 12.5 cm grid; content/atmosphere asked strate ranges in
12.5 cm voxels; Core edits add density where the legacy diff subtracts. Horizon LOD8 bridge edge
5.657 -> 2.265 cells. Relief mesh p95 60.8 -> 42.0 ms (LOD0). New BuildHost checks for scale, height,

Luna, M1 round 4 (resumed after the night stop):
- Cliff: sub-voxel audit (29,929 half-voxel XY columns, min run 3.75 voxels, 0 subvoxel runs;
old taper control exposes 20,963) and a root-line shelf at the two-voxel minimum.
- Horizon slab = aliased LOD8 cap ceiling. The first fix hid the ceiling at LOD8 (challenged:
enclosed, interior-lit strates); now the LOD8 cap is rebuilt deterministically from the
native heightfield, skirts preserved; looking up and out shows the cap present.
- Routes: review manifest with 33 stable-ID route points + capsule/support constraints; capsule
sweep 0 blocked samples / 0 unsupported centres, negative control detected.
- Server path: World::densityAt answers without render meshes. Physics cooking not available
standalone.
- Hashes (evaluator + 2,226-tile stream) identical at W1/W8/W16. LOD8: 4.446 s for 529 tiles,
14.25 M field calls, 165 unknown tiles.
- Captures at 60 fps cap + vsync (owner's GPU coil whine). One cliff probe crossed the ~8 GB
guard (7.69 GiB) and was stopped before capturing.
My review: cap view matches legacy closely, no slab; native cliff is a clean attached ledge
(cleaner than legacy); a few small spikes on the ridge top.

Luna: near skirts were CPU-only by implementation gap, not correctness. Ported with
near-resolution refinement and overflow fallback; near-probe preparation split out so
the skirt kernels no longer inline the near field (first attempt: two fxc /O3 compiles
ran 10.5 h and were stopped). Shape compile proven identical at W1/W8/W16.
-SkipCpuDetailBand retired (154/640 skirt audit failures, +174 ms planning).
Audits: hashes W1/W8/W16, walk 5,642/5,642, whole-near 960 tiles + 640 skirt faces
0 sign/topology diffs (one 0.001 cm vertex-key delta), far/thin 0 diffs, both
survivals pass with 2,074 candidates at 7.00 / 7.02 GiB (was ~6.2), ten captures pass.
My runs outside the sandbox (Step28.exe). NOTE the machine was ~25% slower than last
night for every build (step 27 CPU full machine 0.97-1.02 s at night, 1.22-1.29 s now):
0xFF00: CPU 1.337 / 1.291 / 1.295 s; GPU miss 1.337 s;
GPU cached 1.663 / 1.424 / 1.617 s (GPU tiles 1,427 / 2,072 / 1,222)
0xFFFF: CPU 1.221 / 1.231 / 1.236 s (step 27 same session 1.285 / 1.222 s)
GPU cached 1.582 / 1.550 / 1.416, 1.635 / 1.441 / 1.470 / 1.445 s
(GPU tiles vary 593-2,074; timestamps up to ~470 ms)
=> GPU route now slower than the CPU route measured alongside it. Step 27 GPU control
was not clean (both exes load the same precompiled .cso files).

- Stairs: cave, floor, strata and passage relief were effectively summed in overlaps (owner ray
~0.94 voxel of displacement); now partition-of-unity weights: -0.288 voxel there, max detail
gradient 0.323 voxel/voxel. High-detail patch scan 133 -> 0; exact midpoint edge roots kept
(removing them: 7,993 bad roots, 46 patches).
- Fins: exposed skirt triangle scan 1,776 -> 0; thin sheets 0; coarse off-surface panels 0.
- Path hash both directions equal; W1/W8 equal; routes 5642/5642; passage detail ratio 0.850;
far survival passes, bad-shell fails; 30-crossing flight: nearest tile 15.1 ms median, 124 ms max.
Caveats seen in the captures: the owner-ray wall has visibly less relief than before; the fin
before/after captures do not show the fins (evidence is the scan only). Cold StreamFullClipmap
0.758 s vs 0.741 s (+17 ms, Luna's interleaved run). Owner to judge: bin\VoxelForgeLookCheck4.exe.

Not verified as a whole. In the tree when Luna's session ended ("model at capacity"):
- fins: LOD seam skirts could hang into tunnel air; skirt triangles are now clipped against the solid
half-space and carry a per-face mask so a host can hide skirts between same-LOD neighbours.
- choppy LOD0 stairs: marching cubes' linear edge interpolation misplaced vertices where the relief
bends within one cell; edge crossings corrected with the exact field (82 patches, midpoint-edge
errors 18,818 -> 3,288); normal halo now ignores the +-4.125 fallback samples.
- an explicit unclamped Core distance query for audits.

- Core compiles exact-tile analytic slabs for entering tiles; a Z-column sampler reuses the coherent
noise context along each tile column; the viewer keeps residents and prioritises nearby tiles.
- 30-crossing straight flight: nearest tile ready 15.8 ms median / 27.6 ms max; full crossing wall
121 ms peak; worker CPU per crossing 545 ms median, 834 ms max.
- W1/W8 hashes equal; routes 5642/5642; look, passage, stair, thin-sheet, coarse-panel and far
audits pass; bad-shell control fails; path-hash audit kept.
Cold whole view, measured by me interleaved (busy machine): 1.242 s vs 1.255 s for 3b37d57, parity.
Still open from the owner (LOD0): fins along a strata seam, choppy stair facets.

- Standalone/Core: public header VoxelForgeCore.h (no Unreal types), static library target,
ResolvedWorldSnapshot (from the schema-v1 JSON), World (compile, generateTile, density/sign,
point/segment solid, classifyBox), host-supplied JobScheduler (the core starts no threads),
sequenced, idempotent EditTransaction returning affected tiles per LOD.
- The viewer, benchmarks, edits and audits run on Core; StreamingWorld stays host code.
- Same as round 11: 11 hash rows at W1 and W8, routes 5642/5642, look/passage/far audits pass,
bad-shell control fails, six fixed captures byte-identical; cold W8 1.025 s vs 1.041 s reference.
- SHARED_CPP_LIBRARY_PLAN.md rewritten for a UBT module compiling the same sources via shims.
Open issue before Unreal: Core's implementation still compiles the Compat stand-ins named like
Unreal types (TArray, FVector...); inside a UE binary that is an ODR clash. Must be namespaced.

- Eight-sample X batching of fine density rows, reuse of solved Z intervals in the candidate mask,
AVX2 marching-cubes cell classification. LOD0/1 density-grid time -61/-62%; interval/sign stage
140 -> 97 ms; candidate-axis allocation -18 MiB. Shape stage ~413 ms, detail band ~219 ms.
- W1/W8 hashes equal across 44 fields and equal to round 8; routes 5642/5642; look and far-survival
audits pass; bad-shell control still fails; six fixed captures pixel-identical.
Remote-view recapture pending (camera 500,0,0).
Verified by me, interleaved (8 workers, cold, BelowNormal 0xFF00, 2,226 tiles, 110.9 MiB payload):

- Per-vertex biome lookup was the payload cost (~365 ms); far tiles now take the biome palette from a
per-tile grid. Same channels (palette, slope, border blend, UV) and ceiling/ground sections.
- Opt-in --max-clip-level=8: 6,498 -> 2,226 tiles, stream 0.876 -> 0.428 s, 1.451 s process wall.
Kept opt-in: six fixed views cannot prove every distant thin stratum survives.
- W1/W8 hashes equal across 11 outputs; routes 5642/5642; five captures pixel-identical, passage
382 px differ (max delta 16).
- Rejected with measurements: LOD6 empty-block proof (-21% samples, no wall gain), far supertiles
(no complete groups exist).
Remaining long pole: shape compile 0.854 s.

Takeover after the PC reset. Verified at 1 and 8 workers: density, geometry, full payload and
topology hashes equal for all nine outputs; routes 5642/5642; crater transaction 17 ms; player
neighbourhood mesh-ready 23 ms after streaming starts.
- The plugin's materials consume UV, the packed biome/slope/blend colours and the ceiling/ground
sections, so the viewer-only skips stay off by default (diagnostic only: 1.53 s without them).
- UVs staged as FVector2f (matches the game stream; -20 MB, no speed change). Far-bin reserve 24x.
- LOD6 is the long pole: 32.7 M density samples, 1.83 M vertices, ~1.1 s.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01MmSoF64BbRFmk9C3p1VsBJ
Verified before the reset (density + full mesh hashes equal at 1/8/16 workers, routes 5642/5642,
look audits green):
- merged field lookups, parallel mask merge, compact inline spatial bins, line-local relief hash
cache, lattice-specific mesher entry, fused sign+magnitude evaluation, far connectors as one
capsule each (181,836 -> 16,491 far primitives).
- crater edit (sphere+box+capsule, one transaction across LOD0/1): 15-27 ms; player 3x3x3
neighbourhood meshes ready ~18 ms after streaming starts.
NOT yet verified (in the tree, unhashed): standalone-only skips of UV/colour arrays and of the
ceiling/ground material grouping (best cold whole view 0.958 s @16 workers) and a far-bin reserve
tweak. Those skips drop data the plugin's materials may need: not a game-path win as-is.

Cause found by profiling: room/SDF graph-cache churn (exact XY bounds + sample order rebuilt it
constantly). Region grouping (one LOD3 tile: 1,084 -> 229 builds), taller-tile traversal for LOD6
(36,480 -> 12,160), extent-dependent cache slots, lambdas instead of recursive std::function.
Serial ms/tile, 64 nearest tiles per level (before -> after):
L0 50.4 -> 50.6, L1 112 -> 110, L2 24 -> 22, L3 223 -> 73, L4 269 -> 134, L5 393 -> 127, L6 283 -> 145.
Hashes of all levels unchanged; parity 3,436/3,436 bit-identical.
Full clipmap, 16 workers BelowNormal: full detail 66.6 s, all 12,054 tiles 175 s. In-stream L0 tail is
high (median 83 ms, mean 198 ms, p95 669 ms) vs 51 ms serial.
Streaming: recentre keeps the intersection, generates only missing tiles nearest/finest first;
one crossing = exactly 441 new tiles in 6.1 s, no stale results.
Lighting: normals already come from the density gradient; the striping was the squared headlamp;
broad linear fill + warmer palette. Daytime CPU rule documented in Standalone/README.md.
